Subscriptions

Post Conviction Associates offers a subscription service to a number of updates and How-To memoranda. These subscription-only guides bring you current case law interpretations on specific issues relating to direct appeals, habeas corpus, post-conviction issues, civil suits and injunctions, prisoner rights litigation, etc..

The subscriptions are $15.00 monthly for each one, or $60.00 for the entire set of seven. Subscriptions must be prepaid and will be monitored. Click on our Payment page to subscribe.

DIRECT APPEAL

How to prepare a Direct Appeal. A Direct Appeal is the first step in challenging a sentence or conviction in a criminal case, or a judgment in a civil case. This monthly subscription explains the ins and outs of filing a proper direct appeal, from researching issues to writing arguments and briefs. CERTIFICATE OF APPEALABILITY

How to research and draft a proper Application for Certificate of Appealability. In a post conviction proceeding under federal law (28 USC 2254 or 2255), the petitioner must have a Certificate of Appealability in order to take a direct appeal from the denial of relief.
